Functional mushrooms are non toxic and are not the hallucigenic kind. They have nutritional value and have compounds which can be extracted to help formulate our immune response, fight infection, boost our energy level, combat inflammation and so much more. They are naturally high in beta glucans which have been shown to help strengthen our immune and help manage our insulin and cholesterol levels.

The mushroom is the fruiting body. The main living organism is the fungi which lives inside its substrate. Mycelium grows in the soil. Some studies have shown mycelium to have some very exciting beneficial compounds which could be extracted. Unfortunately products containing mycelium are often high in starch reflecting the feed material on which is grown

Check the label, if it says it has come from myciliated grain, it may be that grain is included in your package which would make it high in starch and a very suboptimal product.

We only use 100% fruiting body. It's good, honest and pure.

The compounds of interest are soluble in either water or alcohol. A dual extraction covers both a water and alcohol extraction.
